NURSERY PROGRESS

Putting together baby #2s room has been going through my mind constantly since I found out I was pregnant. While I was pregnant with Tenley, we were still living in my moms house so when we were putting her room together at the apartment I pretty much found an aisle at hobby lobby and grabbed all of it and thought
this could work.
So with having a room for this little man that I can set up, baby planning has been SO much more fun for me this time around. Getting to spend 8 months shopping and setting up a nursery has been a blast for me and im so excited that its finally coming together! Its a little over halfway done but the finishing touches are still not here making it look a little awkward.
If you would've told me that a boy's room would be my favorite room in the house I probably wouldn't believe you.
But it definitely is.

I feel like every part of the wall is currently "in-progress." The whole time I was putting together the nursery I have been thinking about classic baby blue and white. Shea was wanting bits and pieces of sports in the room to make it more boyish so I did the best I could to incorporate different sports throughout the room. The crib was Tenley's which worked out perfectly because it was time to move her into a toddler bed anyways. I found this Pottery Barn mobile on Ebay and I would take spending $30 on a mobile than $60 annnny day. Im working with a few etsy stores that are making decorations to put above his crib that will match PERFECTLY. But until then I have to stare at a blank wall...

One of my best friends, Jessica, painted the cutest pictures to hang up on the wall and they work PERFECTLY in the room. We also have blocks that spell out his name on the shelf (taken down for now!) that looks absolutely perfect above the bookshelf.

We found this rocking horse when we went to Cantons First Monday and I absolutely had to have it for the nursery! It needed to be painted but it ended up working out perfectly for the room!

(I accidentally started painting half of it before I realized I should take a before picture)

I have been SO lucky to find everything for the nursery without spending an arm and a leg....so far. Shea told me I could design the nursery however I wanted but had to be financially smart about it. We just recently got a new car that's PERFECT...for one kid. So we are saving up to upgrade to a bigger vehicle at one point + as much as we love our little apartment, im oh so ready for a place of our own that i can paint and decorate freely. (Shea doesn't even want to think about moving with all that we have going on right now)

I cant wait to share pictures of the entire room once he gets here! I know it looks like im missing a million things but im slowly crossing everything off my checklist!
