HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

Well...we survived another holiday.
Halloween creeped up on me and caught me off guard.
So when Friday came and I realized we haven't done any "Halloween activites" besides a trunk or treat, we woke up and headed out to Walmart to grab some crafts for us.

We started off with the pumpkin painting because lets be honest...I have no clue how to carve a pumpkin. So we Tenley stuck to painting it. I used some of the extra paint we had at the house: pink, gray, yellow, and teal. It looked more like a Easter pumpkin than a Halloween pumpkin but Tenley did it all by herself and was so proud!

Afterwards, I picked her up and set her in the bath because paint was E V E R Y W H E R E.
Once she got all clean and washed up we started making the "candy" aka chocolate covered apples, strawberries, and bananas. They were supposed to look like Jack-O-Lanterns and Goblins but when you are working with a 1 year old its not gonna look to pinterest worthy. Tenley had the most fun playing with the frosting and eating alllll the strawberries.

After a busy day of playing and cooking this little girl was CRASHED. She had such a fun day and I didn't even have to deal with her wanting to go outside (it was a rainy day)

S A T U R D A Y
Halloween came and this little girl was beyond excited. I don't know what she loved more...her peacock costume or getting to see everyone. The plan was to go to my moms house, visit family, then come back and pass out candy to trick or treaters. Clearly things never work out the way you plan right?!
We got to Kiki's house (my mom) and started getting ready. Put this girl in a costume and alllllll the sassiness comes out.

We then left to go visit my Aunt Connie and Uncle Donny and Tenley had SOOO much fun. They have a dog named Hemi that Tenley absolutely adores and could play with all day if she could. We stayed for an hour or so and talked and by the time we left Tenley was COVERED in sweat from playing with Hemi.
Afterwards, we left to visit my Uncle John and Aunt Tamera and Tenley loved seeing all the animals  in their house (as usual) and playing with the balls on their pool table. This poor little girl was absolutely exhausted and fell asleep as soon as we got into the car.
We planned on grabbing some food and passing out candy to trick or treaters but by the time we got home everyone was done! We ended up spending the night at my moms because Tenley was asleep and I was way too tired to drive. Im proud to say that I wasn't one of the moms who ate all their kids candy and thankfully Tenley just stuck to the suckers. I would say Halloween 2015 was a success.
